STEPAN TECHNICAL TRAINING - January 30, 2009
January 30, 2009 was the date when the Product and technical knowledge of Stepan were shared to Wills’ sales team. This is part of the product and industry expansion of Wills, venturing to other markets aside from food where Wills post a stronghold. The training was done at Stepan office at 7/F NOL Tower, Commerce Ave. Madrigal Business Park, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The training was conducted by no less than the Research and Development Manager for Asia, Ms. Vivian Baldovino. Ms. Vivian was very impressive in giving out the technicalities, applications and target industry of Stepan products. Wills’ sales team was given a refresher on Chemistry 101 in order to fully understand and comprehend all Stepan products.
Mr. Eric Hernandez, Sales and Marketing Director – Asia Pacific, gave out the plans and sales strategies on how to penetrate the market. He gave out tips and pointers on how to effectively sell Stepan products. He also briefed the group on the competition and competitors that Wills might encounter on the new industry of surfactants.
Mr. Paul Cyr, its general manager, awarded the certificates of attendance to all attendees of this training.
At the last part of the session, Wills sales team was treated on a tour on Stepan laboratory, under Ms. Kristine Eusebio, Senior RND Specialist. Ms. Kristine pointed out laboratory capabilities and limitations as part of the services Wills can make use of in offering the Stepan products to the markets.
The training was a whole day affair where Wills got a feeling of satisfaction and confidence in venturing to a new sales horizon with Stepan as its new partner.
