WILLS TEAMBUILDING ACTIVITY - May 9, 2009
To promote Team Work, Camaraderie and at the same time, having great fun as one happy Wills’ family, the annual team building of Wills International Sales Corporation took place at Lake Caliraya in Lumban Laguna last May 9-10, 2009. All of Wills employees from different divisions participated in this fun filled affair wherein they have to compete in a friendly but strenuous activities organized by the HR department. Unlike in the past team building events, which was a full-day in-door seminar, the recently concluded event was highlighted by different group games that stirred up the importance of teamwork, communication, coordination and cooperation among team members.
Teams were equally divided into - red, blue, orange, green, yellow and maroon. These teams competed in all teambuilding games such as Slide Pinoy, Obstacle Course, Earth Ball, Moon Walk and Slip ‘N Slide, Ribbon-Hunt and Puzzle.
Maroon Team won the Slide Pinoy and Moon Walk; while Orange Team won the Obstacle Course and Earth Ball after a very tough match with the Yellow Team. Blue Team was declared victorious in Slip ‘N Slide after winning the tie-breaker match with the Red Team. Green Team succeeded the ribbon-hunt (other version of egg-hunt) over the Red Team.
Difficulties, learning and strategies implemented by each team throughout the games were discussed during the socialization night. Awards and recognitions were given to the winning teams where the Orange team emerge as the over all winner. The night was capped off by merry making, singing and drinking were all had a great time, bonding and enjoying each other’s company.
It was a day where enjoyment and fun were priorities and business deals were put into rest. It was a day spent where employees treat each other not as co-workers but family members enjoying what the man-made lake of Caliraya has to offer. As we leave the venue, we have carried with us not just the fun-filled memories of our teambuilding games, but more than this, we are more determined in continuing what we have started that “Together we work from good to best.”
