WILLS OUT OF TOWN SALES MEETING (SBMA) - July 17-19, 2009
It was a rainy Friday morning of July 17, 2009 as the Will’s sales team and management headed up north of Manila for its mid year sales meeting. Amidst the traffic and a three-hour drive, we anxiously arrived at the RK Hotel located at the center of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone at Olongapo City, Zambales. The Subic Bay Freeport Zone, a former military base of the United States, now houses a number of multinational companies, an airport, and a vibrant tourism, resort and lodging industry.
As the group has settled down to their respective rooms, the Business Development Managers for both the food and non-food divisions were already preparing for the afternoon to provide an update on the status of the represented businesses for the first half of the year 2009. Starting off with a prayer and opening remarks from VP Sales Ms. Luchie Cadangyao, several of the managers mostly showed an improvement of their year to date sales versus the previous year. New business partners such as Comax Flavors and Griffith Laboratories, of which formal representation was finalized on the month of May 2009, were also laid down the table to discuss on its potential market. Targets for year 2010 also were set into place.
Further breakdowns on the activity of the businesses were presented the following day by the respective Sales Executives. As the company has been promoting on the development of the potential of each of its sales personnel, everyone was given the opportunity to air out their views on how they plan to improve the sales and account management. Opportunities for improvement (OFIs), issues and concerns, and new guidelines were also recommended for review so as to promote Wills' continuous drive to be the one of the best companies to work for.
A two-day meeting - a number of sleepless nights in preparation for the presentations – though exhaustion has set in, the Wills' sales team was still ready to top the night off with a time for dinner, drinks, and KARAOKE!
